The end of Vemto as a product

Hello. I'm sad to give this news, as I've dedicated 5 years of my life to the research and development of Vemto.

After opening it as an open-source project last year, I still had hopes that the project would remain active, but things didn't go as planned.

Unfortunately, Vemto attempts to solve a problem (code generation) that AI solves masterfully, especially after the advent of more powerful models in late 2025.

So I quickly started losing clients and had to make do with my other projects to continue supporting my family.

Vemto had been declining rapidly since 2025 to the point where very few people were using it. Things changed quickly in the market and, unfortunately, Vemto ended up becoming a failed project that simply couldn't sustain its own expensive and time-consuming development.

Furthermore, Vemto's architecture is too complex for a small team of 2 people. It's been five years of work, thousands of commits, new technologies created (like RelaDB) to only scratch the surface of the problem.

Therefore, I declare today the end of Vemto as a commercial project, as well as its support and development.

Its code will remain available for posterity; feel free to extend it, add features, etc.

Unfortunately, due to the lack of resources resulting from Vemto's decline, I can no longer provide support or add new features.

I would like to thank everyone who purchased a license at some point; thanks to you, I was able to develop this project for 5 years, and thousands of projects were created using it.

I publicly apologize for not being able to continue development and perhaps not being able to meet your expectations, but unfortunately, I have no means to continue Vemto's development sustainably.
